To my elderly friend.

Who wore his blazer suits, trousers, socks & shoes on hot summer days..

Who wore his belt over his belly as his pants fell..

Who loved to charm the ladies & disgust them at the same time..

Who danced every chance he could..

Who compared NZ’s nice weather to Yugoslavian winter days..

Who always talked about his mischief during his younger stud days..

Who helped out every way he could..

Who formed brotherhoods..

Who’d laugh at his own crude jokes of why he can run faster than everyone else because he had “3 legs”..

Who loved to spend time with his daughter whenever he had the chance to..

Who said I’d be the first person he’d give money to if he ever won lotto..

Who made at least one or more people laugh or smile everyday..

Will miss you my friend. It’s not the same without you :(

After a long crazy day in the dementia unit at work, one of my elderly lady friends randomly walked up to me and said smiling, “You know… you make us all very happy. keeping us busy and all that. you do.” Well then, at least that proves I must be doing something right. She definately made my day. God bless her<3
